With an online shop, accompanying editorial content and specific advice, Swim it makes swimming pools accessible to those who choose to invest their time and energy in them. Beyond the economic benefits, building your own swimming pool is presented as a personal development project combining skills, creativity and a spirit of freedom.
The visual identity I created for Swim it embodies this spirit: building your own swimming pool is not simply an economic choice, but a joyful and creative experience, where each project takes shape according to your desires. The graphic design combines dynamic colours, a modern and rigorous main typography emphasising the technical aspect, and a more spontaneous, ‘handmade’ secondary typography that highlights the human touch behind each creation. Sketches and handwritten calculations, such as measurements, are graphic elements that reinforce the ‘do it yourself’ experience, complemented by colourful motifs reinterpreted around water, in a palette limited to a few bright and immediately identifiable accents.
The simple, accessible and dynamic logo plays on the subtle codes of the ‘swimming pool’ universe with its blue colour and pool proportions - it also plays on ambivalence with a digital interface button. A simple, light diagonal line adds a cheeky and dynamic touch that hints at the experience: different, fluid, fast and reassuring.
The identity is built around flexibility, allowing it to adapt to a wide range of media, mostly digital but also print, and to convey the message: access to a private swimming pool is within reach, through self-build, affordable and without compromising on quality.
